This blog is a living record of what happens when a person refuses to let the worst chapter of his life become the entire story. I write openly about accountability, addiction, public shame, transformation, happiness, relationships, nature, adventure, and the ordinary work of building a meaningful life after everything familiar has fallen away.
My mission is not absolution, approval, or consensus. It is to tell the truth about where I've been while remaining curious about where I'm going. I believe people are more complicated than their worst decisions, that transformation is something we practice rather than something others certify, and that meaningful lives can emerge from circumstances we never would have chosen.
BrettNiebergall.live is for anyone who has fallen hard, lost the life they imagined, or wondered whether it's too late to begin again.
Through honest storytelling, I hope to create space for reflection, connection, self-discovery, and the possibility that what comes next might be something we never could have imagined.
